The "Crime and Justice" U.S. journal proves this fact by historical arguments. The Republic Armenia
supporting terrorism at a state level also takes active part in
financing the terrorist "ASALA" organization. Numerous facts about it
are produced in the article of Mohammad Imanli, the Doctor of Law,
Professor of juridical department of the Baku State University
titled "Struggle Against Funding of Terrorism" published in the
mentioned popular American "Crime and Justice" journal, August 2007.
The article emphasizes that Azerbaijan,
as a state suffering over its history from Armenian terrorism which
caused thousands of victims, took uncompromising position towards this
global threat even long before the events of September 11, 2001.
The
Armenian nationalists, who do not give up the chimera on creation of
"Great Armenia" from sea-to-sea, now became a serious obstacle for the
safety of civilized world. The article also notes that since 1988, Armenia, which has chosen terrorism and separatism as a main tool with a view of annexation of Azerbaijan territories in XX century, has committed in Azerbaijan
373 terrorist acts as a result of which, about 2000 people died and
1808 were wounded. The overwhelming majority of victims of terrorism
acts are women, children and the old. Courts of the Azerbaijan Republic
and foreign countries have proved procedurally that 32 terrorist acts
were committed with direct participation of Armenian special services
in the settlements located in hundreds kilometers from the front line.
The author writes that in 1995-1997, more than 60 saboteurs and terrorists were arrested by special services of Azerbaijan. It is procedurally proven that they passed trainings, received funds, weapon and ammunition in the territory of Armenia. Acts of terrorism against civilians in Azerbaijan were committed by the groups directly funded by Armenian state bodies.
The article also states that Armenia occupied more than 20 percent of the territory of Azerbaijan under the pretext of "right to self-determination" of the Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. Over 1 million people were driven away from their homelands.
Besides, the article covers widely the measures, which have been carried out within the last years in Azerbaijan in the field of struggle against terrorism and informs on the international agreements and conventions, which the Republic of Azerbaijan has joined.
