Armenia’s latest diversion is a prime example of the destructive position, held by the country for many years, Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Political Analysis and Information Provision Department head Elnur Aslanov told media today.
“Today, Armenia is seeking to preserve the status quo and trying to further strengthen military rhetoric, instability in the region, makes various provocations instead of taking steps that serve peace, stability and tranquility in the region,” Aslanov said.
“Holding an irrational position for many years, Armenia is delaying the negotiation process. It shows that the Armenian side is not interested in restoring peace,” he stressed.
Aslanov added that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement will be one of the main topics of discussions during U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s visit to Azerbaijan.
