“The discussions on Nagorno Karabakh conflict at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly should be assessed positively”, vice speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE PA Bahar Muradova said in her interview to the site of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), APA reports.
She said other international organizations also have to hold such discussions. “Why don’t the co-chairs report to the OSCE PA? Representatives of the Council of Europe, NATO make speeches at the OSCE as the experts. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group can report to these organizations in this order. Of course, the OSCE has a mediatory mission on the settlement of this conflict and all the decisions must be fulfilled together by the OSCE and UN. The decisions of other international organizations have a recommendatory character. But they have to be aware of the essence of the issue to make appropriate decisions. Therefore such hearings are significant”.
Muradova also made comment on the latest visit of the co-chairs to the region. “I don’t think that the co-chairs had different position during this visit. It was reported that they could make new proposals. If the co-chairs visit the region, they can put forward new initiatives”.
